All to often this condition is ignored because it is not easy to diagnose or treat. There is now a lot of research that proves it exists, I have even heard a comment that it could effect up to 8% of the population. Therefore you are very likely to come across this condition and being aware of the ‘Central sensitivity syndrome’ of the condition will help when, for example, they need a separate surgical procedure. Also because this group of patients often can’t tolerate medication consider treating them with the microcurrent device called the ‘Alpha-Stim’.
